A photo from May, 2021. A very rare sighting for me. The Gray Catbird (Dumetella carolinensis). A contributing factor to my seldom seeing the Catbird is its avoidance of unbroken forest (mostly that here) and its affinity for suburban gardens (not suburban at all). Possibly.

Beautiful Brenda! I am blessed with a catbird here in Florida. He/she loves my hanging birdbath and will come to my suet feeder. I always throw my fruit cores and overripe berries “to the birds” as well! I so appreciate the beauty of this bird – way underrated. Happy new year to you!
