The Indigo Buntings (Passerina cyanea) have arrived for the summer, adding more bright color to the woods. They love birdbaths, small seeds, and fruits.
My blueberries will be ripe soon. I’ll be happy to share them with the Indigo Buntings.
Something that astounds me is that they frequently migrate at night using celestial navigation. Amazing.

I’ll definitely keep my eye on these beautiful birds! I recently experienced the arrival of the Rose-breasted Grosbeaks. The males arrived first and stayed about a week. There were quite a few of them. I only saw one female one time. They probably headed up your way. Have a nice relaxing Sunday.
Hi Diane!
I see Rose-breasted Grosbeaks only on rare occasions. After all these years of living here, just a couple times. Quite a pleasure to see them!
It looks like it will be a beautiful day, I hope for you too!
Thanks bunches for reading my posts!

Yes but I don’t want to share my blueberries with the bad boy cat birds.
Hahaha! I understand Bonny! I’m not sure how many blueberry bushes I have though. Twelve? Fifteen? Many. And their big bushes. MANY berries to share with the birds. I very rarely have Cat Birds up here. They stay in the low lands for the most part.
Thanks bunches for reading my posts!
