I went out this afternoon to get pictures of what is left of the autumn leaves. They’re stunning in these cloudy conditions. The only thing better would be to have rain coming down. Clouds and rain seem to intensify the colors.
My favorite, the blueberry bushes, looking as if they’re celebrating the holidays, in a vast sea of luscious red.

Fothergilla!! Fabulous autumn color!
Hi Ann! Though this looks similar to Fothergilla, my many bushes are blueberry bushes that are celebrating the holidays! Hoping you are enjoying this holiday season too.
So very glad you read my posts!

Oops! I meant that fothergilla also has fabulous autumn foliage. Ours have thrived but our blueberry bushes have never thrived. Happy Holidays and thanks for your wonderful posts!
Hi Ann! I hope you’ll find some blueberry bushes that will be happy for you. The oldest of my bushes were planted more than 30 years ago. As you might imagine, I not only fill my freezer with the berries to be made into pies and many other things throughout the year but I welcome the birds that love them too.
I’m not familiar with fothergill but its autumn coloring really does look just like blueberry bushes!
So very glad that you get my blog posts!
