This morning at the pond. A Northern Flicker (Colaptes auratus) takes a sip and creates a reflection in the little pond.
One of the first things that was done here at the cabin after move in took place. A human made pond installed in one of the gardens. A place for inspiration. A marvelous thing to add to the yard given my love of nature. So many creatures, from many species of frogs, salamanders, turtles, snakes, there to entertain and educate me. I love it.

Oh MY! Reading your message brings me such JOY! The technical parts of doing this blog (which mostly happen automatically without me doing anything) are SO complicated and are not labeled in anyway that I’d know to do this, that or the other thing! YAY! I’m so pleased!
Fun that you’ve signed yourself as, Joanne Scholl Brackenbury (the middle sister)😊. I am the “old” sister. I’ve got two sisters, one 5 yrs younger and the other, 7 yrs younger.
Thank you so very much for the good news! I’m elated!
