A surprise at the old garden gate. A bird I had never seen before.
A Black-throated Green Warbler (Setophaga virens) heading south for the winter. Destination Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and northern South America.
Delighted I happened to see it.

What a beautiful visitor! It’s exciting to see a new bird. Today, we had 3 red-winged blackbirds visit our peanut feeder. We don’t see them often. Hope you are doing well.
