Sitting here twiddling my thumbs as my computer works with my external hard drive, which is filled with my many, many, many photographs. There are inconsistencies (groan) that it is dealing with. This will take hours to fix. In the meantime, here are a couple pictures that are a treasure to me. A baby Common Box Turtle (Terrapene carolina), that GrandCamper and I found two years ago.
Take a look at the post I made, back on June 21, 2021, about this little turtle and the adventure GrandCamper and I had turtle-wise that day. You can find it at brendaclem.com/baby-common-box-turtle/. Enjoy the reading, and the pictures, they’re very special to me!

What a wonderful turtle story!
Thanks Brigitte! I take a photograph of every Box Turtle that I see and make a note of where I saw it. The pattern on each turtle’s carapace is different and like a fingerprint, identifies the turtle’s identity. But I see that the baby box turtle doesn’t have that telltale pattern yet! Totally anonymous. I’d love to see it again, and know that it is this one.
But the fun of this adventure is just — nature is ALWAYS full of surprises.
Thanks so very much for reading my posts!
